Banksy neemt de Simpsons onder handen

De bankgrap in het intro van de Amerikaanse uitzending van gister is bedacht en ge'storyboard door niemand minder dan Banksy. Aangezien ik toevallig dit weekend 'Exit through the giftshop' heb gezien weet ik dat dit project met veel mist omhuld moet zijn geweest.
Het verlengde intro is geïnspireerd door het nieuws dat de show het meeste animatie-werk uitbesteedt aan een bedrijf in Zuid Korea. Wat overigens een feit is volgens de wiki-pagina van de Simpson. Lang leven de zelfspot.
'Artists at the U.S. animation studio, Film Roman, draw storyboards, design new characters, backgrounds, props and draw character and background layouts, which in turn become animatics to be screened for the writers at Gracie Films for any changes to be made before the work is shipped overseas. The overseas studios then draw the inbetweens, ink and paint, and render the animation to tape before it is shipped back to the United States to be delivered to Fox three to four months later.'
Banksy maakte een een tijd geleden het schilderij 'I must not copy what i see on the simpsons'.
